I had to go to my OBGYN today for a different issue, and he confirmed that my blood pressure was high, as it had been in October when I last saw him. The conversation quickly got a little awkward, since I take it he's not used to seeing someone who doesn't get her jollies running marathons ... and since he's a boy and doesn't have the lazy gene:

"Wendy, are you getting much exercise?"

"No, not really. OK, none at all, actually."

"None?"

"None. I don't have time!"

Silence, along with a stern peering from over his glasses.

"I know, I know. I need to do something."

But really ... I get up at 5ish every morning, spend 9 hours or so working at an office or on the road, get home around 6ish and cook dinner. OK ... maybe cook is a bit of an overstatement, but we eat around 6:30, then clean the kitchen, then Blair's bath time, then 30 minutes of TV-family-snuggle time, then bed for her. It's usually 9:00 by the time I leave her room, and I am wiped out. Seriously ... show me how to fit in 30 minutes to an hour of exercise!?!?!?!?!

I know that I need a serious attitude adjustment, and I know how bad for my health it is that I don't exercise, and I know that my behind will soon require its own zip code, but I HATE EXERCISE. There. I said it. For women everywhere. I'm also not a big fan of veggies. So there!
Wendyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15277380948436151350noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4600347887432020161.post-70618157986556434212011-03-14T12:04:00.001-07:002011-03-14T12:08:13.460-07:00New blog! There have been several mommy-indulgences that I've wanted to share on my blog over the past couple of years ... rants, raves and random musings ... but I wanted to keep Blissfully Blair specific to the one for which it was created. So, here's my new venture!

I don't have a clear vision for it yet, but I can make one promise: it will be completely random. 'Cause I'm a random kind of girl. Oh, and it won't necessarily be all rants, as the title may suggest ... I'll sing praises when I feel like it. In fact, I'll just blog about whatever I feel like blogging about. Wow! Just typing that made my heart flutter a little faster!

Oohhh ... this could be fun ... an outlet for my randomness!Wendyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15277380948436151350noreply@blogger.com0
